Madison — With Wisconsin now past the halfway mark of spring football practice it appears wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore won't be certain of how many players he can count on until sometime in August.
Robert Wheelwright and Jazz Peavy have worked with the No. 1 unit and are far ahead of the pack after eight practices.
That should surprise no one.
Wheelwright missed four games as a junior (broken leg) but still tied for the team lead in touchdown receptions (four), finished second in receiving yards (416) and was third in receptions (320).
