Badgers notch first win of the season in 3-2 overtime thriller vs. Lindenwood

The Wisconsin Badgers avoided a second consecutive loss to the Lindenwood Lions, as a Daniel Laatsch goal with 18 seconds left in overtime gave the Badgers their first win of the season, 3-2.

The Lions got the game’s first goal from Ethan Zielke at 14:23 from Ty Hipken and Jack Anderson. Lindenwood extended the lead 2-0 early in the second period from a goal by David Gagnon. Wisconsin scored in the second period’s final minute thanks to a power play goal from Quinn Finley. It was the Badgers only power-play goal of the game.

Two shots from Ryan Botterill and Logan Hensler in the third period hit the pipe, almost deflating the Badger faithful at the Kohl Center.
