Badgers men's soccer: Wisconsin upsets Michigan to advance to Big Ten title game

The University of Wisconsin men's soccer team upset top-seeded Michigan in commanding fashion with a 4-0 win Friday in the Big Ten Conference tournament semifinals at Grand Park, Indiana.

The Badgers (10-4-4 overall), the No. 5 seed, advanced to the tournament championship for the second year in a row. On Sunday they will face Indiana, which won the second semifinal 4-0 over Ohio State.

Wisconsin senior Mark Segbers, an All-Big Ten second team selection, started the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 28th minute of play to put UW up 1-0 at the half.

In the second half the Badgers got goals from senior forwards Tom Barlow and Chris Mueller, the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.
