The University of Wisconsin men’s soccer team missed an opportunity to get a leg up on in-state rival UW-Green Bay.
The Badgers got scores from senior Drew Conner and sophomore Mark Segbers to build a two-goal lead, then conceded three goals, including two in the second half, to drop a 3-2 non-conference decision Wednesday night at McClimon Field.
To add insult to injury, the Badgers (2-7) missed a pair of penalty kicks and the winning goal came on a 25-yard strike to beat sophomore goalkeeper Adrian Remeniuk.
“We missed two penalty kicks and we’ve now given up 18 goals in half a season.
