Two University of Wisconsin men’s soccer players were selected in the top 10 of the 2018 Major League Soccer SuperDraft on Friday in Philadelphia.
Senior Chris Mueller was selected No. 6 overall by Orlando City SC and senior Mark Segbers was picked at No. 9 by the New England Revolution.
Senior forward Tom Barlow was a second-round pick (No. 39 pick) by the New York Red Bulls.
Mueller, who scored nine goals and led the nation in assists (20) last season, is a two-time All-American midfielder.
“Hey Orlando, I’m extremely excited to come down and be part of such an amazing organization,” Mueller said in a video to the club’s fans.
