University of Wisconsin goalkeeper Adrian Remeniuk was named the Big Ten Conference men's soccer defensive player of the week on Tuesday.
Remeniuk, a sophomore from Glenview, Illinois, made a career-high 10 saves in the Badgers' 1-0 double-overtime win at Rutgers on Friday.
“(Remeniuk) showed poise, he made the saves that he needed to make look easy and he made a couple other great saves to keep us in it,” UW coach John Trask said. “That’s what we expect from all of our goalkeepers. I think Adrian would be the first one to admit that it was a team shutout as well.
