NEWBURGH, Ind. – The University of Wisconsin men's golf team slumped to 14th after the second round of the Big Ten Conference golf championship on Saturday.
UW shot a 26-over 314.
Iowa (-10, 285-281 -- 566) leads the tournament at 10-under. Second-place Maryland (-3, 282-291 -- 573) trails by seven strokes, while Illinois (-2, 279-295 -- 574) is eight shots back in third.
In-state rivals Michigan (+3, 292-287 -- 579) and Michigan State (+3, 291-288 -- 579) are knotted in fourth to round out the top five teams through two days.
Entering the final day of competition, the Badgers are four shots behind Rutgers in 13th and six strokes back of 12th-place Nebraska.
