Badgers men's golf: UW in last at Boilermaker Invitational; ex-WIAA state champ holds lead

The University of Wisconsin men's golf team shot rounds of 306 and 298 to finish Saturday in last place after the first two rounds of the 15-team Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Freshman Jordan Hahn put forth the Badgers’ best effort, following up his first-round 74 with a second-round 73 to land in a tie for 29th place at 3-over 147.

Former WIAA Division 2 state champion Charlie Danielson of Osceola leads going into today’s final round with a 9-under 135, four shots ahead of his nearest competitor. The second-ranked Illini hold a commanding edge at 19-under 557, thirteen strokes ahead of host Purdue.
