WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The University of Wisconsin men's golf team moved up two spots to finish 13th with a 34-over 898 in the final round of the 54-hole Boilermaker Invitational on Sunday at the par-72, 7,400-yard Kampen Course.
The score marked the Badgers' (+34, 306-298-294=898) second-best three-round total of the spring season. UW was just one stroke back of 12th-place Northern Illinois (+33, 295-300-302=897) which posted a 33-over 897.
Illinois (-17, 280-277-290=847) snagged the tournament crown, ending at 17-under. Host Purdue (-10, 284-286-284=854) took second, while Northwestern (-3, 292-288-281=861), Kent State (+1, 296-289-280=865) and Michigan State (+8, 294-286-292=872) rounded out the top five, in order.
