Madison – Whether or not Wisconsin's players can regroup this week to extend their domination of rival Minnesota from 11 seasons to 12, the story of UW's Big Ten season will be told by two games:
A 10-6 loss to Iowa in the Big Ten opener.
A 13-7 loss to Northwestern in the Badgers' penultimate Big Ten game.
The similarities between the two losses are striking.
UW failed to establish its running game in both losses and quarterback Joel Stave was under duress from a relentless rush.
Iowa limited UW to 86 yards on 34 attempts.
