The Wisconsin Badgers offense was dealt a tough blow during the first quarter against Alabama in Week 3, losing starting quarterback Tyler Van Dyke to a torn ACL, effectively ending his 2024 season.
It’s too early to say if Van Dyke will apply for medical redshirt and return in 2025, especially after undergoing surgery on Monday. Still, head coach Luke Fickell made it clear he’s leaving the door open to that possibility.
“We haven’t sat and talked with him [Van Dyke] yet,” Fickell told reporters. “Obviously, there’s been a lot of things that have happened really fast.
