Madison — Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan and his assistants did not stop recruiting for the Badgers' 2015 class after Whitefish Bay Dominican standout Diamond Stone chose Maryland.
The payoff came Monday when Andy van Vliet, a 6-foot-10, 200-pound forward from Belgium gave UW an oral commitment.
Although van Vliet hasn't been admitted to UW and has yet to sign a national letter of intent, he is poised to become the fifth member of the freshman class.
He would join forwards Alex Illikainen of Grand Rapids, Minn.
