Madison — Wisconsin's injury list, which seemed to grow every throughout preseason camp, appears to be dwindling as the Sept. 5 opener against No. 3 Alabama draws closer.
Redshirt sophomore Hayden Biegel, who opened camp as the No. 1 right tackle but had been out since suffering a concussion on Aug. 14, was in full pads Thursday. He wore a yellow no-contact jersey but it marked an important step in his comeback.
According to head coach Paul Chryst, Biegel is among several players who could be ready to face Alabama.
"I think we've got a chance to get most of them back," Chryst said after practice, adding the amount of work the players get in practice will determine their ability to play in the opener.
