With two years of eligibility remaining in her college career, former Wisconsin Badgers women’s basketball player Sania Copeland is headed to Kansas after announcing her plans to enter the transfer portal two weeks ago.
The announcement comes after the Badger women’s basketball team was defeated by St. Louis University in the third round of the WNIT on April 1st.
Copeland will be returning to her home state of Kansas after two years with Wisconsin in which she averaged 2.5 points as a freshman and 7.3 as a sophomore.
Copeland’s departure will affect the team’s adeptness to shoot from 3-point range as well as force turnovers defensively.
