Madison — Derek Watt and Austin Ramesh didn't have a clue they would spend so much time together against Hawaii.
"Ramesh and I are great buddies both on and off the field," Watt, Wisconsin's senior fullback, said. "I know in the huddle it was awesome for us, giving each other feedback after each play and on the sidelines as well.
"We were clicking, and we used that package more than we thought going in."
The package UW used on 29 of its 54 rushing plays against Hawaii featured one wide receiver, one tight end and three backs behind quarterback Joel Stave.
