The running back room has impressed the coaching staff throughout the Wisconsin Badgers first few practices in Platteville.
Tawee Walker was considered “a gem” back in the spring, and will look to create a formidable 1-2 punch with Chez Mellusi. However, one of the freshman running backs who garnered attention was true freshman Darrion Dupree.
Dupree, who was compared to former Badger Brian Calhoun on Locked on Badgers, came to Wisconsin as the second-highest running back in the class of 2024 behind Dilin Jones.
The Mount Carmel (IL) High School product held scholarship offers from programs such as Alabama, Iowa, Louisville, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, and Washington before ultimately choosing Wisconsin.
