Non-conference home matches against overmatched opponents are probably not the best barometers of progress for top ten teams, but for every Wisconsin Badgers volleyball fan, Tuesday’s night’s match against Milwaukee was a very welcome event after a two-week gauntlet against 5 top 25 caliber teams.
The Badgers took care of business against the Panthers, winning with ease in sets of 25-13, 25-13, and 25-14. They posted Badger-like numbers of a 0.387 hitting percentage and 10 blocks while holding their opponents to a 0.049 hitting percentage.
Perhaps more importantly, the Badgers evened up their season record at 3-3 and gave fans a reason to believe that perhaps the sky is not falling.
