Terry Gawlik, senior associate athletic director for sports administration and senior woman administrator at the University of Wisconsin, will serve as the next chair of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship Sport Committee in 2016-17.
Gawlik, who is in her fourth year as a member of the committee, will begin her role as chairperson on Sept. 1.
“We continue to strive to make the championship experience all that it can be for our student-athletes, coaches and fans and I appreciate the other members of the committee having entrusted in me this important responsibility,” Gawlik said.
Gawlik joined Wisconsin in 1994 as an administrative assistant and event coordinator.
