Badgers add two new assistants to coaching staff

The Wisconsin Badgers made an intriguing hire for their women’s basketball program, tabbing former Missouri Tigers head coach Robin Pingeton as their new head coach.

Pingeton, who spent the past 15 years at Missouri before resigning earlier this year, has a career record of 584-372 across stops at Missouri, Illinois State, and St. Ambrose. At Missouri alone, she compiled a record of 250-218.

But, she had struggled to achieve consistent success recently, last making the NCAA Tournament in 2018-19, while going a combined 5-27 in SEC play over the last two seasons.

Now, she’ll head a rebuilding Wisconsin program that hasn’t made an NCAA Tournament since 2010, going through three different coaches since.
