Much of the focus for the Wisconsin Badgers has been on the transfer portal, as they seek to rebuild a team that has lost 25 players this offseason, but that doesn’t mean the recruiting efforts in the 2026 class have stopped.
Unfortunately for the Badgers, they missed out on one of their recent targets, as 2026 four-star offensive lineman Ben Nichols announced his commitment to Notre Dame this past week after narrowing his list down to four schools.
Nichols, a native of Davison, Michigan, was down to Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Penn State, with offensive line coach AJ Blazek pushing to get another commitment for the Badgers in the junior class.
