The Wisconsin Badgers got back into the win column with a 70-63 win over the Northwestern Wildcats on Thursday afternoon. With the win, the Badgers move onto the quarterfinals, where they will take on the UCLA Bruins on Friday afternoon.
It was a much-needed victory after last Saturday’s dreadful loss against Penn State and a win that saw glimpses of the offense that made Wisconsin one of the better teams in the Big Ten. The Badgers’ offense appeared smoother, with Max Klesmit back in the lineup and Kamari McGee coming off the bench. It was not a perfect win but a step in the right direction.
