The Wisconsin Badgers held off a spirited Western Michigan Broncos football team yesterday by a score of 28-14. However, Wisconsin’s performance was underwhelming, as the Badgers trailed their MAC opponents 14-13 in the fourth quarter.
Fortunately, a cataclysmic turnover on a Bronco punt return shifted momentum to the Badgers, and Tawee Walker powered through WMU defenders to reclaim the lead for good.
Here are my three takeaways from the Badgers win.
Wisconsin’s offense churned out plays but not touchdowns until late.
Wisconsin only had three(!) drives in the first half, but they were long, effective drives of 14 or more plays.
