3 things that stood out at Wisconsin’s open practice No. 4

The Wisconsin Badgers held their final open practice of the year on Tuesday as they continue to prepare for the start of the season and look ahead to their exhibition game against UW-River Falls next week.

Here’s what stood out to me.

It’s Steven Crowl season

Steven Crowl has always been solid for the Badgers. Coach Greg Gard mentioned during media days that he wanted Crowl to get more physical both offensively and defensively to assert his size and be able to dominate the paint as a big man.

During the final practice, Crowl shined on both ends and did an excellent job at going up strong for baskets and defending his opponents well.
