The Wisconsin Badgers edged past the Northwestern Wildcats 75-69 in a nailbiter on the road on Saturday, overcoming an ugly start to return to the win column after a loss to the Maryland Terrapins earlier this week.
Wisconsin had their worst offensive start of the entire season, shooting 2/16 and turning the ball over four times over the first 12.5 minutes of the game. Still, good defense kept them in the fray of things, with the game being competitive from that point onwards.
It wasn’t a pretty effort by any means, but two key performances, one expected and one unexpected, helped the Badgers reach their 17th victory on Saturday.
