With limited depth at the tight end position after Jake Ferguson on Wisconsin’s roster heading into the 2019 season, the Badgers needed to bolster the position in the 2020 recruiting class. Today they did just that, securing a verbal commitment from one of the top tight ends on the east coast in Cam Large.
The 6-foot-5, 240 pound prospect out of Massachusetts chose Wisconsin out of a top four that also included Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State. Large had other offers from more than 30 schools such as LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Penn State. Ranked as a high three-star recruit, he participated in the Opening Finals, an event comprised of some of the best high school players in the nation.
