Joe Pavelski scored with just 4.3 seconds left in the game to lift the San Jose Sharks to a 5-4 triumph over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night at Bell MTS Place.
The Jets were pressing for the winner in the final minute when Timo Meier and Pavelski raced away on a two-on-one, the Sharks captain took a pass and fired his 37th goal of the year past goalie Connor Hellebuyck.
Jets winger Mathieu Perreault had evened the game 4-4 with just 3:38 left in the third period.
Winnipeg dropped to 40-25-4, while the Sharks posted their sixth consecutive victory, improving to 43-19-8 to remain atop the Western Conference.
