According to reports, the National Hockey League Player Safety Department will not discipline Winnipeg Jets forward Alexander Burmistrov for his elbow to the head on Patrice Bergeron during their game on Thursday October 8th.
In the final minute of the opening frame at TD Garden on Thursday night, Burmistrov blatantly targeted and elbowed Bergeron in the head, which resulted in a two-minute penalty for the Russian Center.
According to Joe Haggerty of Comcast SportsNet New England (@hackswithhaggs), Burmistrov received a warning from the NHL Player Safety Department.
