The Winnipeg Jets have locked up a pair of familiar faces who would have been eligible to find new hockey homes next month.
Centre Seth Griffith and winger JC Lipon both inked new one-year, two-way deals with the organization Thursday. Both were pending unrestricted free agents as of July 1 and provide some depth for the NHL club.
Griffith, 26, led the Manitoba Moose in scoring last year, with 16 goals and 41 assists in 69 regular-season games. He has 300 points in 318 career AHL games, while also skating in 79 NHL games with Boston, Toronto, Florida and Buffalo.
