Defenceman Julian Melchiori was inked to a two-year, two-way deal with an annual average value of US$625,000 in the NHL.
Melchiori, 24, played 11 games last season with the big club, failing to register a point. In 62 games with the Manitoba Moose the Richmond Hill, Ont., native scored three times and added four helpers.
In 235 career AHL games, Melchiori has six goals and 32 points split between the Moose and the St.
