Maurice pushes fast pace at Jets practice this morning

A long week between games will not lead to idle hands for the Winnipeg Jets.

The team took Monday off after Sunday’s 4-2 home loss to the St. Louis but was back to work today at the MTS Iceplex.

Defenceman Ben Chiarot was a full participant for today’s practice and coach Paul Maurice said Chiarot is good to go this week.

And it was work.

Right-winger Blake Wheeler was asked after today’s high-paced, hour-long practice if it as good to have four days between games this week.

"Not with practices like we just had," Wheeler grinned, sweat dripping heavily after the workout.
