A little joy came back into the MTS Centre on Saturday night.
It won’t have any bearing on the season’s final outcome but the Winnipeg Jets authored some smiles by taking an unusual-for-them route to a 3-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
The Jets spotted the Avs two goals and then rallied with a big third period to win for the second consecutive Saturday at home.
Better than Toronto, at least
Coming into the game, Winnipeg was 0-24-3 when trailing after two periods. Now, the Toronto Maple Leafs are the only team in the league with a goose egg on the front of that stat.
