Organizers are expecting a record-breaking 2,000-plus young athletes to descend on Steinbach starting Sunday for the 2016 Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games.
A Sunday evening opening ceremony will kick off the largest continuing multi-sport games in the province that feature 11 sports for 2016. Included in the week in the automobile city are the additions of volleyball and Special Olympics golf.
After practice and ceremonies Sunday, action begins in earnest Monday morning for the first phase of sports.
