Winnipeg finally beats Central Division rivals
Five time's a charm for the Winnipeg Jets.
After four losses to their Central Division rival this season, the Jets finally got the best of the Minnesota Wild, posting a 5-4 triumph in NHL action Sunday afternoon at MTS Centre.
This one wasn’t easy.
The Jets led 4-0 early in the second period but surrendered four straight goals by the Wild before the middle frame was up.
Winnipeg defenceman Josh Morrissey broke the tie with 7:17 left in the third period on a blistering point shot that Minnesota goalie Devan Dubnyk couldn’t find through traffic.
