The Winnipeg Jets have trimmed their training camp personnel to a more workable number, sending 12 players to the Manitoba Moose and returning defenceman Logan Stanley to his junior team.
Forwards Mason Appleton, Chase De Leo, Jansen Harkins and Jimmy Lodge, defenceman Sami Niku, Nelson Nogier and goalie Jamie Phillips were sent to the Manitoba Moose, the club's American Hockey League affiliate.
Five others, including goalie Michael Hutchinson and defenceman Julian Melchiori, who played considerable time with the NHL club last season, blue-liner Cam Schilling and fowards Michael Sgarbossa and Buddy Robinson must clear waivers before joining the Moose.
