Jets sticking to the game plan that brought them to the dance

ANAHEIM - Sometime around 9:30 p.m. Winnipeg time, a whole lot of people will say goodbye to a period of time they’d like to forget. Time outside the NHL playoffs. Later. Ta ta. See ya. Adios.

People all across Winnipeg, in their family rooms, at bars or listening while driving their cars will exhale one long breath as the puck drops.

They’ll say goodbye to the past and then rev their motors and lurch into the present. For the Winnipeg Jets, it will be the same. Their journeys is some ways mirrors those of their fans.

Winnipeg hockey fans have waited since 1996 to watch their team skate in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
