The Winnipeg Jets have put up a shield to protect seven forwards, three defenceman and a goalie from the expansion Vegas Golden Knights.
This morning, the Jets released their list of players that won’t be exposed to Vegas for the NHL expansion draft this week.
Winnipeg has protected top centre Mark Scheifele, right-winger and captain Blake Wheeler, centres Bryan Little, Adam Lowry and Andrew Copp, and wingers Mathieu Perreault and Joel Armia.
On the blue line, the Jets protected Dustin Byfuglien – who has a no movement clause in his contact – along with Jacob Trouba and Tyler Myers.
