To celebrate their fifth draft in the NHL, the Winnipeg Jets are planning a draft party at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre on Friday, June 26.
That’s the night of the first round of this year’s entry draft, which takes place in Sunrise, Fla. As of today, the Jets have two picks in that first round, at No. 17 and No. 25.
The event at 281 Donald St. downtown will see the doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the first round being at 7 p.m.
Jay Richardson, the MTS Centre voice of the Jets, will be the host of the party, which will feature the draft broadcast on the facility’s big screen.
