On what’s been a quiet NHL trade deadline day for the Winnipeg Jets, there was a small rattle just hours before the 2 p.m. deadline.
Defenceman Adam Pardy, who was put on waivers Sunday night, was claimed by the Edmonton Oilers Monday just before noon. Pardy has played in 14 games for the Jets this season, recording one assist. A pillar on the Jets penalty-killing unit last season, Pardy played 55 games for Winnipeg, earning a permanent spot in the top-six after a slew of injuries to the team's blue line.
