The Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers are scoreless after the first period of play at the MTS Centre.

Neither goalie was exceptionally busy, with both teams combining for just 14 shots in the frame. The Jets' Ondrej Pavelec, who is making his second straight start and third in the last four games, finished with seven saves while the Oilers' Cam Talbot also turned aside seven pucks.
