The Winnipeg Jets have recalled forward Matt Halischuk from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose to take Mark Scheifele’s place on the roster.
The team announced this morning that it has placed Scheifele on the injured reserve list retroactive to Jan. 7, after he injured something on his lower body late in a game last week in Dallas.
Halischuk had been recalled last month and played seven games without a point and was sent back to the Moose on Jan. 3.
The move likely rules Scheifele out of Thursday’s game here versus the Nashville Predators.
