THE Winnipeg Jets submitted qualifying offers ahead of Monday's 4 p.m. deadline to four players who will be restricted free agents as of Wednesday.
The Jets made appropriate offers to forwards John Albert and Ivan Telegin and defencemen Paul Postma and Julian Melchiori.
It allowed the Jets to retain the players' rights and have matching power should a free-agent offer sheet be proffered.
By not offering deals to goalie Jussi Olkinuora, defenceman Keaton Ellerby and forward Patrick Holland, those three become unrestricted free agents as of Wednesday.
Holland has already signed to play in Finland next season.
