The Winnipeg Jets have made qualifying offers to four players who are restricted free agents as of Wednesday.
The Jets made appropriate offers to forwards John Albert and Ivan Telegin and defencemen Paul Postma and Julian Melchiori. The deadline for those offers was 4 p.m. CST today.
It allows the Jets to retain the players’ rights and have matching power should a free-agent offer sheet come along.
By not offering deals to goalie Jussi Olkinuora, defenceman Keaton Ellerby and forward Patrick Holland, those three become unrestricted free agents as of Wednesday.
