The Winnipeg Jets passed their first test of an important week Sunday, downing a hard-charging Dallas club 5-1 at Bell MTS Place.
Connor Hellebuyck made 26 saves while Adam Lowry, Tyler Myers, Kyle Connor, Josh Morrissey and Bryan Little scored as the Jets improved to 26-13-2 on the year and jumped back into first place in the Central Division, one point ahead of Nashville.
Third-place Dallas, which entered the game on a 4-0-1 run to creep within four points of Winnipeg, fell to 22-17-4.
The Jets haven't looked themselves lately, beginning the day on a 1-3-0 run and struggling to produce much offence.
