THE Winnipeg Jets are rekindling an old alliance with the Tulsa Oilers.
The Jets, along with True North Sports & Entertainment and the Manitoba Moose, announced Friday the Oilers would serve as their new ECHL affiliate for the 2015-16 season. The Jets' ECHL affiliate since 2013-14, the Ontario Reign, is now a member of the American Hockey League.
"We are pleased to embark on our new partnership with the Tulsa Oilers," said Craig Heisinger, senior vice-president and director of hockey operations/assistant GM of the Jets in a statement.
