Jets fall to Rangers 2-1 on late power play goal

The Winnipeg Jets allowed a late power play goal be the difference in a 2-1 loss to the visiting New York Rangers at MTS Centre tonight. Drew Stafford took an offensive zone penalty giving the blue shirts the man advantage in the final minutes of a tightly-contested affair with the game tied at 1-1. Then, with 13 seconds remaining in the power play, Kevin Hayes made it 2-1 with under 2 minutes left in regulation. The Jets would pull goalie Michael Hutchinson in the final minute, but would fail to score and would watch their record drop to 13-14-3 on the season.
