Strong goaltending and valuable contributions from the re-jigged bottom of their lineup propelled the Winnipeg Jets to yet another victory.
Matt Hendricks opened the scoring and Marko Dano got the winner — with Andrew Copp assisting on both — as Jets beat the San Jose Sharks 4-1 Sunday afternoon at Bell MTS Place. Mathieu Perreault added two third-period goals for insurance, including an empty-netter, while Connor Hellebuyck was rock-solid in net in stopping 31 of 32 shots he faced.
Winnipeg improves to 25-11-7 on the year, including 5-0-1 since returning from the Christmas break. San Jose falls to 21-13-6.
