Winnipeg Jets defenceman Jacob Trouba has had surgery on his broken hand and is expected to make a full recovery in time for training camp, the club announced Friday.
The club said Trouba underwent surgery on Thursday in Michigan "to repair a broken bone in his hand. Trouba is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for training camp in September."
Trouba told reporters last month that he broke a bone in his left hand during Game 2 of Winnipeg’s opening round playoff series against the Anaheim Ducks. Trouba said he was only able to use two fingers on his left hand to grip his stick after the injury.
