NEWARK, N.J. — Say this about the Winnipeg Jets: They're not exactly boring.
A high-scoring offence can mask over plenty of problems. And the Jets are a prime example of that, rallying from a 4-0 deficit Friday night to win 5-4 in a shootout with the New Jersey Devils.
Blake Wheeler scored in the fifth round of the shootout to seal the deal, following an exhilerating three-on-three overtime session in which the two teams traded chances for five straight minutes.
Winnipeg is now 1-1-0 with two games left on this season-opening road trip.
