Jets captain teeing it up with pros at Players Cup

The Winnipeg Jets hit the golf course a lot later than usual this spring, yet their captain must still be crushing them long enough and and straight enough for the PGA Canada Tour to take notice.

Blake Wheeler has been asked to tee it up with the pros next month at Southwood.

The 31-year-old Jets forward has accepted a sponsor's exemption to compete at the Players Cup, part of the MacKenzie Tour circuit, set for Aug.
