That was the message from Alex Burmistrov’s teammates and head coach on Saturday when they were asked what it’s been like to have Burmistrov back with the same team that he walked out on a couple seasons ago to play in the KHL instead.
"With open arms," Jets winger Blake Wheeler said Saturday when asked how Burmistrov was welcomed back the last couple days as the Jets opened training camp at MTS Iceplex.
"He’s got a Jets jersey on so he’s a part of our family. It was tough to see him go.
